Who is it? Adore Delano (born September 29, 1989) is an American drag queen, singer-songwriter, and television personality from Glendora, California. She appeared on the sixth and seventh season of American Idol in 2008, and then competed as Adore Delano on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she placed in the final three. She went on to compete on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, where she voluntarily left after placing ninth. As a musician, Adore Delano has recorded and released three studio albums: Till Death Do Us Party (2014), After Party (2016), Whatever (2017), and an EP Dirty Laundry (2021). She has also toured around the world, both as the headliner or opening act on various tours. Adore Delano has been an open advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and recently came out as transgender, where she currently uses the pronouns she/her.

Following the finale of the show, Delano released her first album, Till Death Do Us Party which peaked at number three on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart, number 11 on the US Independent Albums chart, and number fifty-nine on the Billboard 200. Delano was later featured in the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars; although she chose to leave the show for personal reasons. After her de-transition in order to appear on American Idol, Delano revealed that she was transgender in 2023 and identified as non-binary for the 6 years prior. Her music, personality, status as a role model for the queer community, and TV appearances have made her an internationally renowned drag queen and household name.

His drag alter-ego, Adore Delano, then went on to compete on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. It is widely reported that Noniega identifies as bisexual, and in a 2012 interview, mentioned that he is not opposed to dating women. In 2023, Noniega publicly revealed that they had begun taking estrogen and identified as transgender, with she/her pronouns.
