He has won five Emmy Awards: three for The Wayne Brady Show and two for Let’s Make a Deal, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2009 for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for his cover of “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. He has also appeared in films such as Rent, Getting Along Famously, Chicago, The List and Trust Us With Your Life, and guest-starred in many tv shows like Dirt, Psych, Everybody Hates Chris, Fast and Loose, 30 Rock, Phineas and Ferb, Wild ‘n Out and Black Lightning.
