His character, which identifies as non-binary, is the owner of a struggling strip club in the fictional city of Chucalissa, Mississippi. Nico Annan, also known as Nathaniel Nicco Annan, is 33 years old and was born to an African-American mother and a Ghanaian father. He studied theater at the State University of New York-Purchase and worked as a choreographer while performing in theater productions on and off-Broadway. After moving to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue a career in television, he played the role of Uncle Clifford and ambassadors the role so well that it seemed made for him. As far as his own personal life is concerned, Nico Annan is openly gay and he is proud to represent Black gay men in the LGBTQ community.
